Strange. Never heard of this guy before, now I’m reporting on him twice in one day. Channing Tatum who we reported is set to stare in the new Michael Mann film “Public Enemies.” According to AICN Channing is set to play Duke in the ‘09 release of G.I. Joe.
Months ago there was talk of Mark Wahlberg leading the Joe team, looks like that was a rumor. Bummer. If your not familiar with G.I. Joe (then dig your head out of the sand), Duke is the leader of an elite fighting force battling Cobra, a cancer on the world.
Joe is being directed by Stephen Sommers, best known for The Mummy films and Van Helsing.
Channing is joining sexy Sienna Miller (The Baroness) , comic Marlin Wayans (Ripcord), Sith lord Ray Park (Snake Eyes). I really like the Snake Eyes casting, he better have a prominent role in the film. Although, I have to say this is becoming a weird, weird sounding movie. Even if it’s a childhood dream come true.
