Director James Cameron has updated us via the geeks at AICN on the status of Avatar. In the update, he explains the process of having to wait for actors to finish up their roles in other non-related projects. The upcoming 3D sci-fi action-adventure will star Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Peter Mensah, Laz Alonso, Wes Studi, Stephen Lang and Matt Gerald. I found this list and it’s pretty good. If not anything, it gives us a glimpse of whats to come before the Actors strike. You can check it out from my buddies over at CO-ED Magazine. Read the rest of this entry »
Looks like X-Men 4, oops I mean “Wolverine” gets a few more mutants. Dominic Monaghan and Daniel Henny are set to star along side Hugh Jackman in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” Gavin Hood is directing this next installment of the Mutants saga.
It only seems fitting that the first book I talk about is one by Stephen King.King after all introduced me to my addiction and helped me locate my Tower, not ascend, not even approach, but I know where it is, and one day I’ll take that journey, but that’s for another time.I don’t read Stephen King as much as I once did, mostly because I devoured his books like a Great White eating a skinned cow in a 20’ swimming pool.Through King’s writing, if you pay attention, he recommends many, many authors, so of course I’ve delved into his recommendations, hence taking me away from his collections. And before start, I will say, I mean no offense, that ever since that smucking white van crossed our paths, King has changed, become more - human, a little softer, not as, I don’t know, keen.
Putting this up primarily for my brother-in-law. He has one of the coolest collection of toys I’ve seen. Walking into my sister’s basement is like walking into a toy museum. When he sees how great and true to form these are he is going to be ecstatic. Can’t wait ’til he buys them so I can get a close look.
My wife and I are on giant pesto kicks right now. Turkey Pesto Grilled Sandwhiches (I’ll give you that one soon, its a keeper), Pesto Pasta, Pesto toast, Pesto omelette’s, Pesto Turkey Burgers, Pesto Lollipops (just kidding ’bout that one). But here is our recipe for: Read the rest of this entry »
The simple facts are, Blu Ray has out marketed HD and Blu Ray is going to come out of the war, the winner. Blu Ray will stand atop the podium along with VHS, and DVD. Although Beta was a better product than VHS, Beta did not win, although Divx was better than DVD it did not win, and although HD is better, it will not win. Read the rest of this entry »
The good Ol’ boys at AICN claim they have an exclusive.
By now we all know of the untimely death of actor Heath Ledger, it’s tragic and a brutal reminder of how fragile life is. His death has been covered here and countless other places, so lets talk about he last film, Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, directed by Terry Gilliam (12 Monkeys, Brazil…). Ledger was set to star in Imaginarium and was unable to finish principal photography. Thankfully the script, written by Gilliam and Charles McKeown, allows the director to pay tribute to the late Ledger (in a fantastic way) while preserving the film. I for one can never get too much Gilliam.
Happy Valentines Day. My wife and I decided to stay in tonight, and cook ourselves a really nice gourmet meal. It’s a little complicated but I’m sure we will get through. NOTE: We are doing 3 dishes here, so read through first so you can plan accordingly. I’ll let you know tomorrow (Feb15th) how it went. Read the rest of this entry »
The Margaretta Pizza; it’s lite, sorta healthy (for pizza anyway) and a breeze to make. Always keep in mind that the nice thing about being your own chef is, you get to pick a choose how much of each ingredient you use, and it’s fun to create. Being a decision maker is nice (not that I would know). Read the rest of this entry »
