Worthington to be Terminated

sam-worthington-277910.gifThe star of James Cameron’s “Avatar” Sam Worthington is going to star in “Terminator: Salvation,” aka, Terminator 4.  Worthington was recommend by Cameron for the role after he completed principal photography on “Avatar.” James Cameron wanted nothing to do with T3, he never bashed it, but he obviously distanced himself from the project.  Does this mean that Cameron warming up to the idea of the new films and where they’re headed?   Read the rest of this entry »

Star Wars: Clone Wars in Theaters

Wow, this is very cool news for you “Star Wars” geeks and Yoda lovers alike.  Star Wars is coming to the big screen, again, this time in animation form.  On Monday, Lucasfilm, Warner Bros. and Turner Broadcasting System announced that the animated movie “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” would hit movie theaters Aug. 15.  The Clone Wars will be followed up with episodes on the Cartoon Network and TNT in 30min mini-movies (episodes).  Apparently there are already 30 episodes in the can (meaning done).  Read the rest of this entry »

Writers strike is over.

Fourteen weeks later the writers are going back to work.  THANK GOD.  Reality T.V. was boring a hole into my skull.

The jist of it is:  The bosses go into to work on Monday, and the writers on Wednesday to start giving birth to new and original ideas. 

Maybe this is what the film/television industry needed to get some creative (as appose to simply safe) juices flowing.  We have had greatness from these writers, but we’ve also had far to much mediocrity as of late.

Writers strike at an end

Well it looks that way thank goodness.  The Hollywood Reporter has the long report for your reading pleasure. 

The quick rehash is thus:  The powers to be have come up with a deal that works for both parties, but it still has to be approved by a bunch of executive types.  Fingers crossed, the writers may be writing on Monday.
